Lush Ajrakh Cotton Mul Saree - Deep Mehendi Green

Buttery, opaque, lightweight 100% cotton mul (not sheer) saree that drapes and moulds to the body softly and beautifully. Hand block printed with deep-hued natural dyes in the Ajrakh tradition, this one features ornate patterning with stripes, it's design geometry blooms as it drapes over the contours of human form. 

This is not a stiff, starchy cotton because the Ajrakh process includes up to 17 layers of immersion and handprinting with natural herbs, dyes and mordants. It has a soft drape that adapts to the figure that adorns it. 

This is true blue, genuine hand block printed and naturally dyed Ajrakh from Ajrakhpur, Kutch, India, handcrafted slow and intricately, with artisanal precision as per heritage process. 

~ We highly recommend professional dry cleaning or mild, gentle hand-washing (at your discretion, if you are well versed in doing that and have experience in maintaining naturally dyed sarees) to maintain this vibrant colour. A little bit of color run-off on the very first wash of a naturally dyed textile is normal. To be dried in shade, not direct sunlight. 

~ The palla is decked with thick, lush tassels. 

~ This product includes only the saree, not the stitched blouse worn in picture. It is ready to ship and includes a running blouse piece. We will send it to you with a fall attached, blouse piece cut off and edges stitched, all complimentary. It will be ready to drape the moment you receive it, and you can take your time with having a blouse custom made with the included blouse piece at your leisure.
